Refna took a photo of these Himalayan cherry branches on Gardening Friday because she loved the bark, and I said I might follow suit. On Sunday I popped out briefly to check the birdfeeders and took my own picture of them.

My pick from this day's Cerys Matthews Show is this track from the influential album Jazzmatazz Volume 1. The track features Donald Byrd and samples Monk Higgins's Showdown. Jazzmatazz Voume. 1 is one of the first albums to combine a live jazz band with hip hop production and rapping, and the first such project to feature established rappers.
