Training session

We took Amber over to Phillip's place today for training. He trains working dogs, plus family dogs who need to be obedient. 

We weren't sure at what age we could start, but she is "big enough" to learn to walk properly and anticipate what is required of her.

It involved walking up and down this driveway which is gated at both ends. By the time they were finished she was so much better. She walked to heel, took her nose off the ground (it normally hovers about 1 cm off the gravel) and automatically sat as soon as Philip stopped, without being told. He was very good at explaining to us what he was doing, why and what outcome to expect.

The test was the afternoon walk at home. I didn't go with them, but the 1hr route took 45 minutes and B said that there was no pulling or nose on the ground!!!  Just need to practice and for me to be involved.

It was a bright sunny day, temperature barely above freezing!!!!
