Schnozz

It was a very grey day, but I did manage to get out of the door for once.

The wildfowl seem to have decided that Winter is on its way, there were several goosanders on the river, along with this handsome Northern Shoveler (Anas clypeata). I think it's probably the one who usually lives at the Figgate pond; he seens to pop over to the Water of Leith a few times a year.

I didn't see any Little Grebes; when they arrive it means that winter has really started...
