"free cash"
This has always seemed a little silly: to proclaim that the cash is free. What if someone decided to try to take the ATM operator up on the apparent offer of costless cash? It should at least say that there are no charges for withdrawing your cash using this machine; but then there would be no space for all those words without making them too small to see from across the street, perhaps.
But why is a cash machine trying to look attractive? Who will benefit from each withdrawal? Indeed, there are plenty of such machines within 200m, but why the competition? When you consider how difficult it is becoming to find a cash machine in the countryside, in rural areas (mainly because it is expensive to repair those that have been damaged in ram-raids) why are there so many in a small town, concentrated in the centre and around the ancient market place?
It's a mystery; rather like Brexit . . .
