Nikes On a Monday

This is the view often after practice, my Nikes resting and crossed, and I have done nothing compared to what the team has. The amount of mileage and wear and tear that the girls endure is truly phenomenal. And we were very saddened to learn that one of the toughest competitors in the league, Rachel Parks from Lost River, last year's league MVP, went down with a season-ending knee injury last Friday night. She is a senior, and now her high school basketball career is over. She's such a great kid too. She always gives me a big hug every time we play them. Her dad, and their coach, just texted me with the news, but he said, "Tough break, but it is what it is."

I don't know how they do it sometimes.
