Clean desk policy
The disadvantage of my winter office being the dining table is that when we have more than six at the table for dinner, I have to shift my office back to my actual office (which is too cold at this time of year to actually work in). The advantage is that I have a lovely tidy desk when I move back. (It won't last.)
Back to earth with a bump today. I have a big project to get done this week (which became a lot bigger when I spotted that all the information I've been given to work from is wrong) and today a job that's been lurking on the horizon for a month or so arrived too. Some late nights might be in the offing.
So, not much happened apart from work. The gig I've been trying to sort out has unfortunately fallen through as the band - between saying they could all do it (last Sunday) and us double checking dates (Friday) - have suddenly all become very busy, and none of the possible weekends can work now. I will have to try to think of a form of words to let down the club gently whilst trying to not look like a totally disorganised arse. Maybe next year we'll try again.
Tomorrow Mr B has a perfect storm of awfulness to get to the airport early: snow is forecast, the roads are being blocked by protesting farmers, and Airbus are dragging some big bits of aeroplane very slowly around Toulouse. Fingers crossed...
There are a load of backblips for those of you with time on your hands. You're not missing much though.
