Getting Stoned!
My newly made batch of sauerkraut has had stones added on top, to keep the liquid covering the shredded cabbage. I put the stones in a saucepan of very hot water to clean them up first.
Today is Waitangi Day in NZ, where we celebrate the initial joining of Maori and Pakeha (anyone non-Maori) on February 6 1840, 178 years ago.
I didn’t get involved directly, but did enjoy visiting 3 special friends, in two different visits, that I haven’t seen much of for quite a while. It felt like a celebration!
