Tiny Tuesday - Spikey

I did not realise just how many thorny bushes there are around on my usual afternoon walk with the dogs until I was actively seeking them out for this challenge. These are from the rose briars that my neighbour trails around trellis work on the driveway to our house. The thorns look particularly jagged and I certainly would not want to be handling them without well-padded gloves. It was interesting to see that many of the thorny plants had these maroon coloured branches and I wondered if this was significant in the growth of the thorns.
