We are spending the weekend in Fife with three other families to celebrate Skelly turning 40.

Pitcairlie House is very posh and comes complete with a pool and a hot tub which the children have hardly been out of. It’s a beautiful place and the set up of apartments, pool and grounds means there is a lot of freedom for the rapidly growing kids. We really only need to keep tabs on my littlest and his new best pal who happens to be just the same age.

In the morning some of the dads went cycling while others stayed home to make the lunch and the mums dragged the kids out of the pool and out for a walk in the cold and drizzle. Shelly had shortbread though so all was well.

We lined the kids up on the wall for a photo just like this and it is quite a picture. But I’m blipping us girls instead.
