Cloud


I’m a fan of clouds; anyone could tell you that. I recommended the ‘cloud appreciation society’ to the man who set up the ‘cloud appreciation society’

But today; a day on which I was to photograph ‘cloud’. There were none. Today was a non-cloud day. Nothing but clear skies from horizon to horizon; and then nothing but grey from here to there and back.

So I contemplated what ‘cloud’ suggested to me; and to be honest, I can’t say the word ‘cloud’ without singing in my head ‘I’m just a little black rain cloud, hovering under the honey tree, I’m just a little black rain cloud, pay no attention to little me’

Pooh was a favourite in our house.. we knew all the words, all the songs, and we watched it on repeat.

While the films and short Disney’s were favourites, I’ve always adored the books. The two brown bound books sit upstairs in Tooli’s book case still; they aren’t going anywhere ; but I don’t think I can read them again yet.

I always cry at the end; despite knowing that if there is a moment that they can’t always be together ..... they’ll always be in his heart
