Rights and Rites

An energising and inspiring morning spent with young people who are our new leadership group on digital rights, as they launched their programme with the Cabinet Secretary Fiona Hyslop and the founder of 5Rights Baroness Beeban Kidron. I managed to catch this shot of the young people interviewing Fiona on the FB Livestream.

A much more sombre affair sadly this afternoon - my third family funeral this year - this time that of my sister-in-law’s mother, who died last week barely a week after the funeral of her Dad. Such a shock for her to lose both parents in so short a time. You hear about these things happening - older couples dying within days of each other - but it is so hard to take it all in. So much grief.
