The Omega Rose

Today I passed by so many rose bushes with just one defiant bloom so I decided to stop and confront one with that terrible truth.
In answer this fella is channeling David Warner's Hamlet and Charlton Heston in the Omega Man (maybe a bit of Will Smith in "I am Legend").
Not forlorn, nor forgotten, just alone wondering about the vampiric nature of its own roots and Xylem as it tries to strut its stuff. Beautiful I thought.
