'Hope over Experience'

10 years ago today Mr. T and I tied the knot - albeit each for the second time and we refer to it as 'hope over experience'!! Actually both of our first experiences were definitely not all bad and my ex, Mr. J and the relatively new Mr. T get on very well. They say they have something in common!

From our first marriages, Mr. T has 4 children and 8 grandchildren and I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren - an expensive business but we love them all dearly, and it was great to get nearly everyone together for T's birthday party last month.

10 years ago today the weather was glorious, a sharp white frost first thing which gave way very quickly to a beautiful crisp but bright blue day. Everything went perfectly and the memories of our lovely day are still very sharp, helped of course by photographs.

This is our cake, the inside of which was a rich chocolate sponge and after we had made the ritual first incision the cake was taken away, cut up and served as pudding with cream and a Raspberry Coulis for our guests at lunch. This beautiful cake was made by my niece.

By the way our second experience is going very well - mostly!!
