Fun in the sun

A cold, crisp morning with bright sunshine. The ducks and Tintin goose were very happy to plunge into the fresh cold water. There had been a layer of ice over all the troughs but fortunately no frozen pipes so I was able to refill them all.

After a brief interlude, the ducks have started laying again and I am currently collecting one egg a day. The hens have not had a rest and between them the red girls lay about five a day.

I think a big Spanish omelette is on the menu tonight. I picked some fresh greenery this morning plus some chard to add to it. Keeping up the 5+ a day.
