Birdwatching

Not the crispest as this was taken through the glass of a window but it was nice to spend a while watching the birds in the garden.

I've also done a few hours ironing and in order to entertain while I was doing that I found an old episode of Taggart on one of the catch-up channels. It was from the very first series so it features McManus and a number of familiar actors who still pop up in TV. I'd forgotten how labyrinthine the stories were; full of sub-plots and red herrings and sleights and feints. Of course they are a product of the 80s so Glasgow looks rather more rundown than it does now and the cars all look like deathtraps - even the ones which were top-of-the-range at the time.
