Little & Large
A tale of two snowdrops. Pushing through a sea of pink Cyclamen coum are the largest and the smallest snowdrops that I currently grow. Galanthomania is seeing ridiculous sums of money change hands as new variations on white and green are discovered. Neither of these is in the 'silly money' category though. In the foreground, Galanthus 'Bertram Anderson' has petals about an inch long while slightly beyond it is diminutive Galanthus gracilis 'Vic Horton'. Both gentlemen were plantsman gardeners, E.B. Anderson being quite famous in his time and having many garden plants named after him. There's a picture of him and some notes on this link - scroll down.
Admin, Drs, garden, kitchen, supermarket summarises the day. Jamie made another delicious healthy soup for lunch .... he's our star baker this week :-)
