Fading Amaryllis....

Each year i take such delight in the whole movement of this flower...from the opening bud right down to this stage, where it is such a beautiful gossamer display!

Had a lovely visit with my dear friend Charlotte, who turned 87 last week and she was sharing some of the delicious cake a friend made for her.   We talked and talked.....she is always such an inspiration to me.   Then off to the Inverary for some exercise.    I used to buy a monthly membership to the pool....but last fall the son of the owner - who is now running the place - decided to double the membership for locals.  so now instead of $56 it is $115!!!   Needless to say i absolutely refuse to bow down to this ridiculous situation.   But when my friend Mary Jane feel and broke her wrist a couple of weeks ago, she had already bought her membership for the month and so she has passed it on to me to use.   so while i have this outrageously expensive membership for free i will use it!   Did some exercises in the warm pool then had a hot tub!   Very satisfying indeed.

I've mentioned many times that we have often gone to the fabulous Bite House just outside Baddeck for dinner.....last summer, while Terry and I were eating there, a guy was making a film!   The result is this 2 minute video, you can just catch a glimpse of Terry and i half way thro!   The Perennial Plate seems to upload many videos.
