Bird's eye view of the town of Kas.
This morning's walk was more of a climb up the mountain under which the little town of Kas is nestled. The sun was not yet on the path so it was quite cool. Kas has been one of our favourite holiday places (to sea kayak) since we first came here 7 years ago. You can see why from this vantage point. What you can't see are the vicious pickly bushes that line the path. Why did we wear shorts? "Ouch," was exclaimed many times (or other words that meant ouch)!
You can see the old harbour on the left and the brand new marina on the right. In the distance is the Greek Island of Meis/Kastellorizo which we hope to paddle to sometime next week.
When paddling under some cliffs later that morning I saw an amazing squirrel, climbing all over the cliff face, going in and out of crannies. I am just putting him in blipfolio (angellightphoto identified him as a caucasian squirrel). here's the link.
