This view just never gets old
Had a lovely day today. Went to Kojima in Okayama with our friends Tamaki and Mami. I took a LOT of photo's, and it was extremely difficult to pick just one.
The chosen photo is of the Seto Hashi, one of 7 bridges that connect Honshu to many other islands on the Inland Seto Sea. We have cycled over 6 of these bridges before (8 long kilometres), and this is the one we didn't bike over, we went over it on the train instead!!
Many years ago, Tamano (where we live), was a busy seaside port, as it was the only means of getting to various islands on the Seto Sea. Then they built these bridges, and the train station has dwindled from over 100 employees down to about 5, maybe even less!!
You can see the photos that just missed out on a blip here. One of which is of a very scary ET-esque bike ride, that if you're afraid of heights as I am, is a not a good idea to go on, let alone take photos while you're on it!!
