Stand Up 2 Cancer

Kent Unions Volunteer Coordinator in full flow as he addressed potential new volunteers.

We are in the initial stages of setting up a Kent Union Volunteer Committee - known as Vol-Com to those who are down with the kids! This will allow students to not only get involved in the promotion and participation of volunteering, but also gain personal transferable skills related to a committee role. I have been asked to take on the position of Chair; something I'm actually very excited/a tiny bit apprehensive about getting stuck into!

Stand Up 2 Cancer was one of the topics that dominated the meeting today. As student volunteers we are always keen to get involved in causes that we feel are worthwhile, and from personal experience Cancer Research UK and related charities are second to none.

Now to settle down to watch Stand Up 2 Cancer on Channel 4 whilst I wait for the pasta bake to finish cooking.
