FLOWER FRIDAY
We don’t have many bulbs in our garden, except a few snowdrops that belonged to Mr. HCB’s mother, but they are not quite out, so dressed in my pink robe, after I had had my shower, I had a wander in the garden to see if there was anything worth taking for Flower Friday.
I knew that Mr. HCB had been nurturing some of his geraniums in the greenhouse so went in there to take a few photographs. This beautiful pink and white one caught my eye, but as they are in an orange trough, I wasn’t happy with the background so went indoors to look for something to use as a background. I found some black weed control fabric that I had used before, draped this around the geranium and was pleased with the result.
It was quite chilly out there and I was glad to get back indoors, although now that the sun is shining, it will get quite warm in both the greenhouse and conservatory.
Mr. HCB is going to ask our neighbour to look after the greenhouse and the bird feeders while we are away and I may also ask her to look after my orchids - but like we always say, “They have two chances - they either live or they die.”
Guess life is a bit like that - you can either live your life to the full and enjoy every moment, or you can get stuck in a rut, not do very much and feel that life has passed you by - I know what I would rather do!
“I don’t want to get to the end of my life
and find that I have just lived
the length of it.
I want to have lived
the width of it as well.”
