A great quote from a friend after I had to spread the sad news that the annual Battle Of Hastings re-enactment was cancelled on the Saturday evening due to the extensive field of mud forming where the public and re-enactors mingle. This re-enactment marks my favourite time of year because I get to see a lot of very close friends who I only get to see on average once a year. So when I was told of the cancellation, I was a tad upset. But I can completely understand why the event organisers had to do it...
