Road Water Runoff....

All around where I now live, the creators of this  community envisioned tall trees with loads of shade, gently curvy roads that have slight inclines and dips, a lot of green, and dry land.  Here in Florida, in order to have dry lawns and roads, there has to be a place for the flash, torrential downpours  to go.   These catch basins are very large, very deep, and have underground pipes that channel the water from the drains to the basin.  That ensures the roads don't fill up with water and cars hydro plane of the road.   It is a great system!
