Sixpence

I remember when one of these bought a Fry’s Turkish delight. Sadly I would need a lot of them now to do the same.

These Are dated 1953 and 1963. They ceased to be legal tender on 30 June 1980, after becoming 2.5 pence when Britain went decimal in 1971

I wonder where they have been betweeen 1980 and 2018 when they were put in a collecting box?
