Looking out towards State Farm Insurance. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

Flying in to DFW is a good introduction to Texas for the novice. The airport is massive with 5 separate terminals and a highway through the middle. It takes a long time to leave the airport just because of the distance to the perimeter. Once outside you are in the Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex where the only way to travel is on the elevated 5 lane wide highways. Every mile are on/off ramps leading to the 3 lane local highway that runs parallel.

If you wanted to cross the road on foot you would have to get across 18 lanes. But why would you want to cross. There are no pedestrians here.
