Meet Bodhi

There's been a new addition to the family today...

This wee man was found on the Great Western Highway, of all places. He's been rescued, cared for, and fostered for a couple of months. He was named Charlie, but that being the name of our darling recently-departed cat of thirteen years, we couldn't go with that. 

We tossed up a few names, including various Star Wars characters, and Bodhi seemed to fit. I also quite like that Bodhidharma was a Buddhist monk from India who introduced Chan Buddhism to China, and legend has it, decided the monks at the Shaolin Temple were at that time too physically weak, so prescribed them a number of exercises, which in time formed the basis of Shaolin gong fu - which by various routes, led to the development of karate.

So that's cool.

He doesn't seem very kung fu so far... ;)

Cuteness in spades though.
