But Shoot It In The Right Direction....

Years ago I worked in a Bed and Breakfast.

One Sunday morning as we served breakfast the local radio news was appealing for help looking for a girl who had disappeared. She had been at the local disco where I had been the night before with my friends.

Her body was found with in a couple of days, hidden at the far end of the beach, and an arrest followed a few weeks later. They were subsequently found guilty of murder, not only her, but of someone else as well.

Time has been served now. A life sentence with no parole.

I see them occasionally; I knew them back then, not well, but well enough to have a laugh and a dance when we both heard a song we both liked. The night the second girl disappeared, they actually asked me if someone was bothering me.... watching out for me, I thought.

Every time I see them, I remember that; can you get someone so very wrong?
