Heil to the Chancellor

As an alumnus, I was invited to a talk given by the the Reverend Richard Coles, the chancellor of the University of Northampton.. He gave a thoughtful , charming speech but:

a) The Dean's introductory speech was too long and involved him reading out Richard's entire Wikipedia entry including the names of Richard's  dachshunds

b) It was impossible to concentrate on the talk because of the hideous ever changing electronic display behind his head.

The buffet lunch was excellent
