There's probably some sort of comment to be made about having stopped at Gateshead to go to IKEA several times in the past (however many) years (since this was built) whilst not having been to officially see this, but you can't buy meatballs on the A1 whereas you can see this from the road; the experience of the magnitude of the feet is definitely better close-up.
