Paw Beano

It's the paws.
The bright eyes, the wet nose,
The waggy tail, the silken ears.
All cute,
But it's the paws.

One paw means 'dinner',
Or a walk, or a treat.
Two paws, while lying,
Laughing, on his back
Means tickle-time.

And after a walk, dog-tired
But so happy,
One paw, in your palm,
Means 'I love you,
And always will.'
