From Kylesku to Środa Wielkopolska

One year of running my Toyota Auris Hybrid today! So pleased to have made the switch to petrol, and especially hybrid. I can’t imagine going back to a car without electrification. 

The hybrid technology means there is no alternator, no starter motor, no clutch, no cam-belt (not even an auxiliary belt), theres no turbo or DPF it even assists with braking by the regenerative braking which charges the car.  Its even built at the closet car manufacturing plant to where I live, over the border in Derbyshire, with the petrol part of the drivetrain built in Wales... 

Although not immune from problems, what car is, with a couple of niggles sorted under the Toyota warranty. 

I’ve done 17320 miles, as well as doing the usual commute, for work, visiting friends and family the car has taken me to some pretty awesome places in England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Germany and Poland!
