Gastronomic Classics

It was hard to capture these books painted on a huge wall at Trader Joe’s (grocery store) but couldn’t resist them for Silly Saturday. I tried to do a collage with other funny titles but it didn’t work out.

With a small fortune in hand, Elaine set off into the world alone for the very first time. She travelled to the Crimea to read books to and write letters for injured soldiers.

In the space of six difficult months, Elaine

a) decided to dedicate her life to Florence Nightengale’s causes,

b) fell in love with a soldier who subsequently died,

c) had a nervous breakdown and returned home, married Peter, and settled into a simple quiet life on a small farm,

e) joined the acrobatic troupe of a traveling circus

f) any combination or all of the above, or

g) none of the above
