Gentle dilemma

So, perhaps more about yesterday than today, when for reasons various, I decided to take young Gentle back to where he was born on campus. The weather was lovely and when I let him out of the cat carrier he started exploring quite happily.  For the next hour and a half I walked around the plateau (and sunset gave me my blip) and at the end of every circuit went to see if he wanted to come home. He did not, and ran away every time I went near. Finally,  I left him there, with very mixed feelings.

This afternoon, after lazy in-bed morning followed by grocery run and lunch with Caitlin at Akmerkez shopping mall, we walked to the cat house to see how he was doing and, not least because of the rain that was forecast, I decided to bring him back home again. He didn't like being caught but has played, eaten and then snoozed on my lap while I watched the rugby - Ireland v Italy and then England v Wales.  My dilemma is that I really don't want another cat and neither does Harry. Gentle's dilemma is that he is not the healthiest of creatures, has lost him mum and siblings and it is winter.
