Burst Lip
We are the walking wounded today. I was going to take O to Gymboree class again as he loved it last week, but I woke up with a frozen shoulder and horrible pains in my thighs, legs and back. I haven't had them for a few weeks and thought I was on the road to recovery a long time after childbirth, but it appears the pains have returned. I am now wondering if it's sciatica?? I could barely lift O, so decided that we should avoid a class where I would be having to stand up/sit down and lift him a lot.
We drove to EK in the morning to meet a lady who was buying my baby bath. I got it out of the garage to give it a wash and discovered a huge spider and a beetle in it. Not a pleasant start to the day. After that, we picked up lunch and a baby present and went to visit my friends from work L and G (office romance) and their new baby H who is almost 3 weeks old. It doesn't sound like they are getting much sleep, so we took lunch and I also made them a pot of soup. Baby H was lovely but as he was sleeping most of the time I was there, I didn't bother holding him! He looked so tiny compared to O - he was never that small!
On the way home, I got a call from H's nursery to say she had fallen whilst out a walk. She was fine, but they didn't want me to panic when I saw her. My poor girl has a burst lip (her teeth had gone through it and it's quite swollen inside), and skint nose and hands. She seemed fine though and I am just hoping it has healed in time for the nursery photographs in a couple of weeks! She got lots of cuddles and treats to make her feel better of course.
