Blea Tarn in Autumn

The final day of my photographic holiday with Lakeland Photographic lead by John Gravett, a well-known and much garlanded Blipper. Much better weather today, dry and not too overcast with shafts of sunshine over the fells from time to time. We were at Blea Tarn in the Langdales area which is one of my favourite Lake District locations. The wind was light so for much of the day there were completely still areas of water which were ideal for reflections. Occasionally a dog would disturb the water and the ripples would spread right across the tarn and there was one foolhardy individual who stripped down to have a swim only to think better of it having put his legs in the water. For the main part I concentrated on landscape photography but did have a spell of macro photography and was delighted to find that the live view on my D7 with 10x magnification is ideal for focussing precisely on tiny flora.
