A stroll in the Park

We decided to take a walk this morning even though it was raining.  The Park is at the bottom of the hill and it seemed the perfect place to go on a wet and dull day.  
The main photo shows a view of the village we are now living in from the park.  It is quite a large park with the River at the bottom there is a very well kept Cricket field, football pitch and children’s playground that is fenced off, right on the edge of the park is a beautiful river walk. I have tagged a few more photos of the park. The river was quite high and running pretty fast, the old church dates back to the 13th century and is a point of interest in the village and is open for viewings but that is for another day, maybe a slightly brighter one as it has some beautiful stained glass windows.
