A bracing walk

A lovely walk round the local lake this morning. Very cold and windy, but bright and fresh. You could tell it was a good day to be out as the paths were busy with walkers, runners and cyclists.

Afterwards we called at a nearby shopping centre to pick up a couple of things. There are always a lot of very tame starlings around the car park, presumably because they pick up discarded food from the adjacent takeaway restaurants. I've added an extra of one of a few of them preening himself on the hedge just outside the car; they weren't in the least concerned about us.
