Late Christmas Tree Looming

..... out of the fog. All that lovely snow that fell recently and this afternoon the temperatures went up so it rained. Even in Solalex, this usually chilly valley, the snow was washed off the trees and the cross country skis had "sabots" (clogs) on their bases so it was more of a clod hopping progression to this point. Could have used windscreen wipers on the glasses on the way down so I took them off!

Just had a lovely couple of hours with an ex colleague and her daughter who I last saw when she was 10. What a delightful young lady she has grown into. Many old colleagues were there and we have another staying with us, with her family. Just a wonderful reminder of how lucky we are to still live here when old friends return for their Alpine "fix".
