My new favourite trail

Great day in the peaks. Weather was horrific, high winds horizontal sleet and running water over frozen puddles. But we had a blast, got back to the car with no feeling from mid calf downwards and in my hands.

The above is yours truly riding devil's elbow. Last time I rode this was 23 years ago on a fully rigid bike with cantilever brakes, steep angles and scarily rubbish tyres. Bike technology has moved on a fair bit since and on the full susser it's flipping brilliant. All swoopy smooth at the top, getting steeper, rockier, rootier with occasional drops as you get further down. I won't be leaving it another 23 years before a return visit.
