Tussock Tales

Elegant?..not!

Stick business is very serious and there are times when you just have to get into it properly.
I realise that perhaps this is not the most ladylike pose BUT there was a bit of a 2 level issue here and it was blowing a bit as you can see, so maybe I needed a bit of shelter for serious work...OK...OK?
Well ... suit yourself.

The Bossess had come with us this morning but she really was a total waste of time as she injured her throwing arm by carrying too much paper about the place for work and was limited to finding sticks and passing them to The Boss for aero despatch. It caused a lot of confusion because part of the game is to detect that a stick pickup is looming and then streak into the frame to intercept it before it can be picked up and thrown. The Boss is really fast so I never win with him but The Bossess takes more time and when she didn't do the throwing but just handed it to The Boss my secret scheme was completely shot full of holes.

And then it proved too cold for coffee at Edgewater too, so we bypassed that also after I had charged up the path looking hopeful, There is a lovely lady waitress there that always gives me a big cuddle. The Boss says he would like one too but he would have to be on lead and tied to a table..OK? OH and maybe without The Bossess??
I always feel that this is where Dogs are superior to Cats. Out in the field (so to speak) we remember stuff and have fun with our family. AND we appreciate this fun too. There is this ongoing interaction where The Boss walks down the side of the lake and 20 feet away I am walking down the side of the lake watching...watching for the moment when he might stop and stoop and pick up a stick and I have to get there before he does. AND after he does, I jump and show complete approval with mad enthusiasm until he throws it and off I go (hopefully in the same direction) sliding in to grab it like an American Baseball Player arriving at his plate, grabbing it and taking off, leaping joyfully and running down the beach shaking it all about to make sure it's dead of course.
Now can you see a Cat doing that?

I rest my case M'Lord.

Oh and there's some Rowers, practising on the water too...Fancy that!
