Glasgow Central Tour
The Glasgow Central Tour includes information on the social history about Glasgow. At the beginning of the First World War, injured and the bodies of dead service were returned to Glasgow. The under-croft became a makeshift morgue, where the wives and mothers of the dead had to identify and remove the bodies of their loved ones. Later in the war, the bodies remained on the battlefield and were buried in the many war cemeteries located around Europe.
