Om Kolthoum

This was the showpiece at one of the exhibitions we saw today in the Picasso Gallery in Zamelek. The artist is Amina Salem and it was her 4th solo exhibition Vintage, 'inspired by everything old and beautiful. It was incredibly beautiful and you can see that Om Kolthoum's glasses and dress are made up of old coins. Other pieces incorporated old stamps. Not cheap needless to say! Had we the money, we'd have been tempted. We don't! And it had been sold. We'll go back for another look though before it finishes.
