PAUL POGBA

Newcastle United had a home game this afternoon versus Manchester United.  My blip shot shows Manchester United player  Pogba - who is Muslim - praying before kick off.  Newcastle actually played well - big surprise.  Two of their new players were in the team today. Kenedy, a midfielder,had a good game and our new goalkeeper Dubravka was especially good.  He seemed to give confidence to the rest of the team.  The final score was Newcastle 1 Manchester United 0.  Good result considering Man. United are second in the Premiership.  Its Newcastle's first win at home since October.  A precious 3 points today - they just need to win more often in future. Here's hoping.

After the match there was time to pop to Waitrose and Tesco before they closed and then home for my tea.

The weather was very bright and sunny for the first half of the match but when the sun disappeared it got a lot colder.  Luckily I was well wrapped up and had taken some hand warmers which I did need to use in the second half.
