Shine

Im's friend came over for a rehearsal for their recorder performance in the school talent show Every Chance to Shine.

Im had had about 6 lessons from me and decided to impart all her knowledge to Pene's daughter last Tuesday, before they attempted a rendition of Jingle Bells on Thursday. Somehow they got through Round 1.

The purpose of today's playdate was to build on these solid foundations, but the prospect of a water fight (gorgeous warm day) with Im's brother and his friend was too alluring.

I did entice them inside eventually, and a lot of time was spent with recorders in hand, and mouth, but also on table - "Behold, my tower", and at eye level - "Can you see me through the other side?"

Some progress was made but I think we all suffered for their art.

The next (recorder-free) playdate is anticipated with much more enthusiasm...
