Weekend and sunshine!!
Finally weekend and catching up on sleep.
Although Neil was up at 8 am!!!????
I followed sometime after 9 am and we got read to leave the house and go to the farmer's market and also intended to have breakfast somewhere.
For us we were really early at the market and the stalls were not as empty as usual!
We did our shopping and lurked at the breakfast menus of a few places we have not yet been too.
We ended up at the Partick Duck Club, which seems to be highly recommended. It is a busy place and we got a table after a short wait.
I had a really tasty Shakshuka and Neil had scrambled eggs with hot smokes salmon. I thought it was quite expensive although very tasty. So it may not become our new regular.
On the way home we stopped at the fish monger and got some salmon for dinner and then walked up to Queen Margaret Drive for Neils weekly shave.
The just recently opened Barber Izmir Barbers is gone - replaced by a new one! He just put the sings up today. I was honestly not surprised they would not survive! The shop looked uncomfortable and there was always some old guy playing videos on his phone in the background. They never decorated the window and all in all did not seem to manage the business well.
The new guy is very different and he did an amazing job on Neil! He will definitely be more successful! Our support is granted.
After the shave we decided to visit the new place Comet Pieces, as we were early enough.
The owner Bal, a young Glaswegian - Indian (3rd generation) was a very chatty guy and we had a nice blether. He also explained to us the name of the shop, referring to a ship that had been built in Glasgow, PS Comet. I hope the fact that it has been ship wrecked is not a bad omen. However, there is a replica displayed in Glasgow.
After the chat and a tasty coffee we finally walked home. I tried to catch up with my photos and Neil was faffing about with other stuff.
My blip shows the Duck Club in the sunshine.
