It was a sunny morning, so we walked out through Binfield for a coffee in Wyevale. They've just redone their cafe, and added a kid's play area section. We commented how nice and soundproof it was... which it really was! The problem was that every 5 minutes a child would fall over/be pushed over/randomly become distressed, and emerge into the cafe screaming at the top of their lungs.
I also had a semi-terrifying moment while we were walking around outside - as we passed a selection of creepy statues and turned the corner, the bottom of my dress got caught on one of their hands. It was all rather Weeping Angels and Doctor Who and I may have freaked out a tiny bit.
I was at South Hill Park again in the afternoon. Fairly uneventful, but the weather was insane. It switched continually between rain, sun, thunder and hail, and at some points did all 4 simultaneously. The sound of hail on the metal roof of the gallery was deafening. Thankfully it stopped before I had to go outside.
