Winter dawn

Off down the wood quite early this morning to refill a couple of bird feeders we have in position there. There had been a good two/three inches of fresh snow overnight and it was nice and crunchy underfoot.
Back home and we got a big pot of home-made soup on the go for lunch-time.
After lunch we nipped into Stirling for a couple of errands. Despite being only a short drive, we found there was very little snow there. While doing the rounds of the shops we received a call inviting us for tea and cake from Euan & Eve. How could we resist?
