Micro-Maravilla

Retracing my steps in Puyo to Omar's Orchid garden.

His project is 7 hectares of highly managed land in a transformation over 30 years from cattle pasture to mega-diverse forest. He is a skillful ento-botani-biologist-photographer with a passion for restoring the amazonian habitats and culture that are at risk of extinction.

Once again I am taken aback by the miniature size of some of these flowers. A sensual experience in the woods, indeed - smelling, tasting, feeling, seeing, hearing, breathing, being. Gratitude.
