Pooh Sticks

A little bridge over a fast running stream, an irresistable invitation to Pooh Sticks! George, Jake and Normous were quick to find little sticks and then, on the count of three, drop them into the stream. The rush to the other side showed an inconclusive result, it seemed that two of the sticks had sunk and they all claimed the survivor!
The last time we visited this pub was when J had picked George up from his first day at school. Now look at him! We had lunch with the boys while their parents are away on holiday, not because they can't manage by themselves, far from it, but we wanted to see them. We had a good time with them. I hope they enjoy the rest of half term.
I'm out again tonight for a Thai meal with the members of the WI Mah-Jong group. We should really have a Chinese meal as befits Mah-Jong players, but we prefer Thai food!
