Shrove Tuesday

Today is Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day when people used up their perishable foods before the 40 days fasting for Lent. 

This afternoon F and I measured my garden. I'm having a lot of hard landscaping done and the builder will need all the dimensions on the plan. It was a tricky job as no edges are straight but as surveying was Fs job before he retired he knew how to go about it and will draw the plan. I had the important job of holding the end of the tape.

After spending quite a while in the cold garden I made pancakes as our reward. We had them in the traditional way with just sugar and lemon.
